Museums: here are the best in the world

These are the main results that emerge from the Travelers’ Choice Museums 2015 ranking, drawn up by TiripAdvisor, the large international community of travelers all over the world based on millions of reviews and opinions. The most voted is therefore the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, followed by the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and the Art Institute of Chicago , the overall winner of the 2014 edition, which this year drops two places. Instead, it is necessary to go down to 14th place to see an Italian beauty appear in the standings, the Accademia Gallery in Florence .

La Ville Lumièrand is the winner of the European ranking: the Musee d’Orsay in Paris occupies the first place, the third, however, another well-known museum in the French capital, the Louvre . Florence and Turin are the most awarded Italian cities: Florence not only hosts the Italian winner, the Accademia Gallery, but also the Uffizi Gallery (3rd) and the Bargello National Museum (10th). Turin, for its part, presents the National Cinema Museum (5th), the Egyptian Museum (6th) and the Automobile Museum (9th). The Italian ranking is completed by the Galleria Borghese in Rome, which occupies the fourth position, the Vatican Museums (2nd) and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice (8th).
